Another late entry, but I should get this done by the deadline. I ordered the kit online and it arrived two weeks ago . It's the first all resin kit I have built and it has been quite enjoyable so far. There has been a fair bit of sanding and fitting and considerable thought as the directions are quite minimal and there are no locating pins.

I am going to build it as this kit typhoon prototype wth the door open. It does come with a lot of extras to build later , operational 1a's with 250,500 and 1000 lb bombs plus drop tanks and three different types of canopies.

and some pictures of the build so far,

a bit of detail on the fuselage wall

A trial fitting of the fuselage halves sanded. cleaned up with the door cut out: but not glued.

The upper armour plate and head rest still attached to the resin block

The floorboard and back armour plate and the seat with the headrest attached

The wings fitted and glued to the fuselage halves. I found this necessary to do in order to set the cockpit in place for trial fittings.

a mid week update

I've got the wing joints filled and sanded. I use plain old white glue to fill gaps. Its just what I've always used since the mid 1970' . It works quite well just squeeze some into the joints, work it in a bit, wipe off excess with a wet cloth and finally let dry 24 hours and do a light sanding if necessary.

two coats of interior green and a little airbrush trouble later

a shot of the wheel well detail, fairly nice for 1/72

if you excuse my big thumb you see a shot of the inside door masked and painted, its molded in clear

next step finish that cockpit and get it in place...

Looking very nice. But I wonder what can be done if the wing dihedral angle turns out incorrect?
