I'm happy I have some kinda future after the scan results. Soooooo....a lot of scrubbing and re-scribing later, I takes a break and tackle the engine cowl assembly. That's one of the issues with this kit. There are whacking great seams running from the front of the cowling to the front fans. The fans have to be installed before the cowling halves are joined together making seam clean-up extremely difficult. Steel Beach Accessories makes an FOD set for about $8.00US and 3 Brazzillion $ shipping. I thought I would try and make my own out of tissue

Not too shabby. Some clean-up needed and straps to add. These things go from pretty elaborate, with squadron emblems and such to plain jane with squadron colours. Guess which road I'm taking

Still working on some seams, nothing major. Painted the exhaust area using Vallejo Metallic Magnesium. Nothing can be seen once they are mounted to the wings so not to fussy about the ejector marks or seams. Home-made FOD painted up

I'll still need to add parts 3A and 2A to the cowling halves to add rigidity and as a mount for the rear engine assembly

Thanks all. Wings is on

This is now too big for my booth and is also too big for a full sheet of 2' x 3' poster board. I had to use the Clone Tool in Paint.net to remove the clutter on the right side. You can see where I gave up by the wing-tip. I'll glue the tail appendages on after the Jays game

Thanks Karl. Just need to work on some seams and glue on some lil bits and I can start painting. The fit of the fan cowlings to the pylons will require some filling. I'm going to take another stab at my Milliput and belabour it into place. GO JAYS!!!!!
