How about a MiG-3 in a North African Desert paint scheme? That way I would have a ready made diorama for it when Jack was done with it. We could say it escorted Stalin to the Casablanca Conference or something.

I had a couple of hours today day to do some more work on the MiG now that I am no longer 'Master Builder to the Pharaoh'. By the way, does anyone know how to remove pictures. I put the pyramid pics on the right thread but could not take them off this one. Anyway……..

Picture 1 ) The filing and sanding work done on the underside of the nose and intakes.

Picture 2 ) The horizontal tail surfaces on. Still need to clean up the joints.

Pictures 3 and 4 ) The intakes on the side of the nose did not have any depth to them so I filed them out. The one on the left of both pics is before, and the one on the right is after.

Picture 5 ) The exhaust manifolds were rather rough, this being a limited run kit. Left is before clean up and right is after with the ports drilled out.

Picture 6 ) I added some blocking plates made out of plastic card stock to prevent see through.

Pictures 7 and 8 ) the nose assembled. It will need some work on the joint behind the exhaust, but should look all right when done.
