Don't worry! I had an incident when I got home where a cannon shell I bought in Gettysburg fell on the P-40! Had to redo all the putty from the cockpit up. But It looks fine
 
OK. Now take a piece of a newspaper ( for example The Washington Post ) . But take a strip of the paper without letters, pictures etc..it has to be clear of paint piece. Margins of a such news papers are free of this.Then like you did with the felt do it all again with the paper.Quick movement and squeeze it down a little bit stronger.OK?
 
Wojtek, do you know much about WWII ammo? I have a thread with something I purchased and I'm not sure what it is.

The model surfaces look good. Now take the Pinvice with the drill bit you used for drilling these holes of the MG barrles.And clean these holes again.Simply put the drill into a hole and rotate a couple of times.Then remove all the dust and dirt from these.

I always use that way when there were sanded areas on models. a piece of felt and a newspaper are really cheaper that a tube of any polishing compound.
