I started drooling to get some photos of the Stearman when we arrived, but I was assigned to a different flight. We do have plans to get photos of it in the near future though. It's a gorgeous one.
Karl, if you spend a little time around them they will be eating out of your hands.
Excellent shots Eric. I really like the 37' Chevy and the old truck. I think it's a Chevrolet to but I'm not sure.
Thanks Dave. The weather was perfect. They had record snows during the winter this year and were skiing all the way until the Fourth of July weekend! Higher elevations still have snow.
I did some open lens surgery on my big Sigma lens this morning while preparing for Seamus McCaughley's memorial service. I knew it was softening my photos and giving me some focus issues but I didn't realize how bad it had gotten.I took it out today and was floored at the quality. I was getting close to parting with it for something different. Not anymore. Here are some samples. Moral of the story? Clean your gear more often if you shoot in dusty conditions.
Thanks guys. I am really pleased with the crispness now,
Dave, you may be able to fix that. Take the lens off an use a rocket blower on the mirror and toward the top of the camera where the glass is for the viewfinder. Just make sure that you have the front of the camera facing the floor so that the dislodged dust falls out of the camera.
