Thanks Aaron. Sometimes it's just a matter of picking the right spot.

So While I was at Camarillo prior to the Veteran's Day shoot, a guy caught me without me even knowing I was getting photographed.

Like the long hair Eric! Mine's a bit longer these days as well. Looks good when you have a mullet coming out the back of your helmet! :evil4:

hehe, yep, the pain is when you don't get all the hair in the helmet and it's flying around in your face. I have come close to cutting it a few times, but it's for the kids.

In putting together some photos for my online print store, I found a few photos that looked great at full size, but not as great smaller. Here are the smaller versions, which look just okay this size. In a large format, they look pretty cool. The lighting makes a couple of them pretty dark and moody, but I like it.

Awesome effort, Evan! That shot of the gaggle of Nanchangs looks pretty menacing above that destroyer. There's a fleet of the things at my local airfield and at airshows, with a bit of artistic licence and a few big red circle decals, the Nanchangs play the IJN in mock attack scenarios :)

Keep it up, my man!

Okay gents, I have a favor to ask. I have had several people encouraged me to submit to the National Geographic photo contest. I want to submit one or two, but want to make sure I only send what you guys think are my best. It has to be taken in the last couple of years. If you guys can think of a photo, or two, that have stood out from me in the last couple of years, let me know. I have to submit by November 30.

My quick checking your posts, Eric, by the date of 08-31-2006 tells -

The feast yesterday was great. I got to shoot the most challenging thing...children! Here are a few things I photographed yesterday, including the sunset.

That looked like a really cool sunset, awesome colors! You should have climbed onto the roof to clear the rooftops!!

Great job with the young'uns...for me, they're hard to keep still long enough to get in a decent shot (I'd rather attempt a high-speed pass from a CF-18!) though it's my sister who excels at kids/small animals/people, etc!

As far as a memorable shot, you took a shot over the ocean during a flight a few years back. If I remember right, it was the Stearman against the ocean, lit by the afternoon sun...that ring a bell? That would definately be my suggestion!

National Geographic also has a user gallery (I have a series of shots there) that you might like to show off your work with :)
