Almost forgot, this one is just a couple of small steps from being done. Here's the pics with everything on, including the side access door, except for the final matt coat and the cockpit windscreen (and I'm trying to find a vacuform replacement for that thick injection molded one in the airfix kit). :) The first two pics are virtually identical - I was just experimenting a bit with the lighting.

And don't forget to top-up the oil and check the tyre pressures, and do a fuel drain check too!
Beaut job Dwight. Have you thought of moulding a canopy?

Thanks Terry. :)

What did you have in mind for moulding one? Detailed instructions here. BTW the Airfix one isn't terrible - it's just kind of thick. The shape is good though.

I found a vacuform version in the #28 Falcon Industries Set but it has 13 different canopies in it, and there's only two of them that I would ever use (Hs 123 and FW 56 Stosser). I'm not paying 12$ for two vacuform canopies.

I do have a bunch of Squadron Vacuforms I would be willing to trade for those two canopies though. :)

Use the old conopy as a former. Also you can mould the one using epoxy for instance. Then warm up some of transparent thick foil and stretch it on the former. And you have the new conopy. The transparent foil can be obtained from any transparent boxes that many goods are wrapped.
