Ahoy Fellas

The old Goose is coming along better approaching the down hill slide, got all the parts installed the landing gear is very sparse decided to9 install it as per kit instructions if I had to build this kit all over again I would have removed the wheel wells and done right to scale but the build is over due and it looks fine to me. Okay after all parts were attached I gave the model two coats of gray primer and i will let dry overnight. no imperfections can be found the heavy putty application done its job. After the primer dries I will do some pre shading on the panel lines, decided not to paint her as cuttler's Goose I am doing it in three tone camo Intermediate blue non specular blue and Off White with the pre shading going on it will bring out the weathered look. Here are the pictures of my Goose.

Just coming to this thread for the first time...always was a slow learner!

Great work Boats. I never knew that Lindberg made a 1/48 Goose. How does the kit line up in terms of exterior accuracy? 'Fraid I'm one of those modellers who, so long as the shape is ok (not to the micrometer but within reasonable limits), I'm willing to give it a go...and I just found some pics online of a Goose in Japanese markings that had been captured in 1942. So tempting....hence the question about the Lindberg kit.

Many thanks,
B-N

Thank you for your reply on my Goose, No sir, Lindberg never produced this Kit of the Goose, they used the old ITC molds to produced this kit. The original kit was released in 1956 as a gimic moldel I had one of these when I was a young boy, The kit was molded in red plastic and it featured a electric motor that made the plane taxi with turning props pure gimic. durring the passage of time as more kits are being manufatured ITC bellied up out of buisness. by 1960 they were done. Lindberg obtained the molds to produce this kit there is no intereir in the kit the only interier part is a floor board with two pilots thats all there is. in the beginning of my thread you will see what i mentioned. Everything has to be scratched out. But in all perspectives its a nice kit and it can be revamped into a good looking model when done, Thanks my man for your reply.

Thank you Wojtek and fellas for your warm and always wonderfull replies... The old Gray Goose build is coming to the end of nye, just finished up the paint schedule at first I was going to finish her as Cuttlers Goose, But at a last moments changing of the mind I went ahead and painted the goose as a three tone Navy Utility seaplane there are so many colorfull examples out there its hard to make a decission on what paint schedul is elected. On the following pictures shows the final painting the pre shadeing pays off only on a weathered machine... All is left is the props and touch up here and there and she is done I will post the finished pictures today, then I will pay all of my undivided attention to the Ventura Bomber build.

Thanks Wojtek your the best, Okay fellas got the old gray goose done, I just finished her up and took her outside such a nice day didn,t want to wast it so now its time to take the pictures. I love to thank each and every one of you for your views and comments on this over due build much appreciaated and again very Honored.

The Kit

This is not a bad kit at all very very acient to say the least, I remembered I had one opf these under the molds that Lindberg Obtained. The old ITC The Goose came out as a true niffty fifities type gimic model which were a lot for that era. First released in 1956 it was battery oppereated with a motor that turned the two props and the plane taxied by turning the tailwheel you can watch prop and taxie around also the Red plastic it was molded in. But with this kit it can be made into a great looking model for the challenge at heart. with all of the color schedules that are available one can get lost building a collection of the Grumman Goose.
