The weathering was several stages, trial and error Dirk... I had some basic guidance and some key pointers from the guys here, all throughout this Build, and its documented in my Build Thread... I know its long but go back a couple pages from the end and u'll see how I did the weathering...

But, the pic below are the washes I used, several coatings at various times... Also used a flat/matte coating to dull and dust everything up in the end.... Let me tell u, it was rather fun trying to get it as real as possible....

Ive said it before Dan, awsome job. Now you need to display it with pride. Any idea's on where you will put it. To bad it didnt come with a glass case to go around it. Its just looks like it belong in a musuem or displayed like one.

This is one outstanding bird you built. There is so much that I could comment on but I especially love the detail of the underlying framework showing through the skin of the wings.

Simply outstanding detail of the wear and tear of the aircraft. I would like to have seen the WIP of the weathering.
