Where my son and daughter live, across town, they are doing that under the front lawns
Me too. Had a directional drill rig parked on my lawn for 2 hours while he shot a line under the road to the house across the street. Messed up my already messed up lawn. "You'll fix that, right?", I ask. "Oh yeah, we have a crew that comes around and takes care of that", he says. I had my doubts which proved to be right.

Look like your just getting a bit of road resurfacing George. As for fiber optic links, we have been 'OH' so lucky and have had it since the very early 2000. Good local ACT government installed the whole city over a number of years with fiber optics and have kept the ball rolling with new areas of housing development. Sadly the same can't be said for most of the rest of the country who are at the whim of successive Federal Governments with the so called National Rollout.

Yesterday, my chemical doctor gave me a gold star for yet another awesomely low PSA number. it got rained on

Something added this year. There are fault lines in the high wall and in the past it required everyone to keep an eye on the wall to detect movement; good in the day time, not so much at night. We now have two motion detectors that scan the high wall, as seen in the back ground. They detect movement in millimetres, day or night and an alarm is sent to dispatch. If its nightime, equipment can be moved away to another area for digging

Holy Crap! That's roughly 2-1/2 miles to the gallon!!! Sorry, can't think in Km/L and have the same impact! Hope it does a lot of work! But I do remember my '71 Chevy PU (454) which got 'almost' 6 MPG, hauling or not!
