I was only on the dam on that day. Doing the ramps will burn a lot more fuelHoly Crap! That's roughly 2-1/2 miles to the gallon!!! Sorry, can't think in Km/L and have the same impact! Hope it does a lot of work! But I do remember my '71 Chevy PU (454) which got 'almost' 6 MPG, hauling or not!
Congrats on the PSA and gold star Geo, my GP just gives me a pat on the back.Yesterday, my chemical doctor gave me a gold star for yet another awesomely low PSA number. it got rained on
My daily totals on the grader
Something added this year. There are fault lines in the high wall and in the past it required everyone to keep an eye on the wall to detect movement; good in the day time, not so much at night. We now have two motion detectors that scan the high wall, as seen in the back ground. They detect movement in millimetres, day or night and an alarm is sent to dispatch. If its nightime, equipment can be moved away to another are for digging

I wanted to go on for another year but they kept putting me on haul truck. Its been raining constantly here for over three weeks and the roads are the worst ever; potholes in pot holes in potholes. With some cancer in my spine, this is painful and after the third night I went to HR and told them I was done, no more pain thank you. They finally realized their error and put me back on grader for the last 10 days....too late. I go in for my last tour on Wednesday night. How big were some of the potholes? I dumped a haul truck load weighing 232 tonnes into one and just filled it. To put this into perspective, that's about 14 highway gravel truck loadsEither I missed something or forgot but as I drink my tea right now, I had no idea you were retiring soon.
I wish you all the best with many happy years ahead Geo!
