It's hard for me to imagine that while I'm typing this thread, seventy years ago American sailors were waking up to the sound of gunfire and explosions, and seventy years ago my great-grand parents and countless others experienced with their own eyes and ears the first Japanese bombs landing in Manila and other places in the Philippine Islands.

:salute: to all the service men and women, alive or dead, who sacrificed so much in the War. I'm eternally grateful for what you did back then.
