Just had a thought about carriers ... who'd want to fly from an airfield which isn't where you left it when you want to return?
And if it is where you left it, the runway keeps moving away from you as you attempt to land !!

I do recall at one time, the UK was referred to as the "unsinkable aircraft carrier". Lord knows there have been a few take-offs and landings there.
