it'll be a while before I start masking the 737 to apply chrome to the bottom since i don't wanna lose any of the gloss.

well, i took a shot at masking the 737, and I was successful! so i completely masked the 737, applied chrome, let it dry overnight, and pulled off the tape, it looks great!

After the visit from general disaster on my vampire entry for the GB, I decided to get some RLM therapy and have a go at rescuing my Hasegawa Bf109F,started about 15 years ago and given up on as the yellow managed to get everywhere it wasn't supposed to. So using my new Lifecolour set I gave it a respray in the right colours, and am quite pleased with the result. It will be finished as Werner Molders JG 51 autumn 1941 eastern front

Made a bit more progress on the 109 today. Tidied up a few odds and ends, made up and fitted some PE sea belts, put in all the panel lines with pencil. I didn't have any pastels to hand so I got creative and used some graphite scrapings from the pencil and streaked them out with the first coat of future. Second coat has just been applied, may even get the decaling started after tea.

Just tried the decals and they disintegrated so I will have to try and get some decal sheet, scan them and print them out and find appropriate sized hakencruz and winkles to get round the problem of the white. Sh1t,Sh1t,three Bugg3rs and a damm

ach, that sucks more than anything, pal. sorry about that. that's happened to me, once.

I've masked off all of the 737 except the gear fairings and airbrushed it a light gray, same with the wings and tailplanes, except for the masking part.

Lewis which decals you after....I reckon I have a few spare sets for Molders aircraft is this one with the black bars and 100 on the rudder?

Yep double chevron and horizontal bar. What I was going to do was check out a local printers that do prints of photos on mugs and the like and see if they are a similar sort of decal, and if so get the decal sheet copied onto the appropriate paper and get a new set that way. If it does work out then I will be able to get as many as I want and new copies of all the old sheets I have as they will probably all disintegrate
If not and you have spares I would be most grateful for them.

This is the better part of my Defiant, I am now furiously trying to get the wings to fit properly. I'll put up some pics once they're on showing how awful the fit is...

I may stick a couple of paint pots to the wing roots, they are a better representation of the Defiant wing than the ones in the box...

Last night I spent a bunch of time reworking the gun ports on my Airfix Beaufighter for a GB i'm part of. For some reason Airfix didn't cut out ports for any of the guns on this one. Not sure why but anyway...

Here is a brief look at the twin F117's I'm working one. Not much to these.
