Hmmm.............too simple to answer.

What you will have to learn first, Dave, about the people in the peninsula would be a very simple fact that they DO hate intervention. Make friends with them first and they will be happy to listen to you anything. This is a basic step I learned in the peninsula.

3. He is also not allowed to speak English in public as a proud NK leader

The more he wants to pretend he can speak English, the more severely he checks his interpreter's skills word by word.
Embarrassed by this, interpreter makes mistake unwillingly to be fired.

English is one of the languages in the world as a communication tool but he seems to be thinking it a status symbol as an educated person.
This might be his weak point.
