Appreciate your comments guys, the filing has to be careful to reduce and shape the brass while not affecting the surrounding plastic...so now i can slip in the additional tubing for the actual wing cannon!

Next step, the Orange Yellow wing identification stripe, this new marking was introduced in September 1942 as a quick recognition feature.
Freshly applied to the Japanese Carrier aircraft the colour was quite vibrant, yet on period photos from October 1942 through early 1943 was quite difficult to see on the Olive Grey Zeroes.

Thank you guys, and your welcome Andy, chose this one due to this often overlooked feature of Zeroes during this period.
Normally you would only see the yellow stripes on Green camouflaged Zeroes when this came into being in 1943.
