There's some great skills going on there Wayne, can you explain how you did it and tools the you used?
Vaughan

He's got a pointy hat and a wand, that's my guess!

He also hangs out with us Hobbits/Elves/Dwarves on occasion as we go on a magical model building quest, for the "One Model to Rule Them All!"

:D

Just a moment while I stroke my long white beard...and straighten my pointy hat....:D

Vaughan, straightened out a staple and then carefully wrapped it around one of my paint brushes, laying it on the table and bending it so it doesn't kink, next small pliers to pull it into the final round shape around the brush so the ends cross over each other, next bend the ends back where the crossover occurs and snip off the excess and align the cut ends so they will fit the hole in the fuselage.
Another staple bent over a knife blade and squeezed together to create the small parallel section, again snipped the ends to the correct length and with tweezers superglue it inside the round loop section. and place it on the model......do i need some pictures to follow up...?

Front and rear canopy sections fitted today, left my camera home....so pics tomorrow now...

Just a quick additional question from myself.
Do you anneal staples on a flame before bending them?
Thanks
Alberto

Hi Alberto, thanks for your interest, no I don't anneal them, it was a spur of the moment thing and I just did it that way... although I have used staples for the same purpose on other models too!

Thanks Charles!:D

Okay next stage the front and rear sections of canopy in place...

Thanks very much Gents....:D

Kicking along...have now painted the Antenna mast, adding the Black tip at the top, painted, glossed and decalled the Undercarriage covers....the blue strip is rather brighter under the light of the photo than in reality.
Also added the undercarriage indicators in the top of the wing, these are in fact flat recangular strips rather than the usual round type shown on most aircraft.
They are noted as red on Mitsubishi aircraft and possibly Yellow on Nakajima built Zeroes...
..and i must remember to paint them brass wing cannons too...
