The "th" word Paul..........

Kludgemanship, Haven't heard that expression for.... oh.... 40 years!
Meaning in engineering terms, as I know it, making a custom part in the form of a standard part so the buyer has to use the custom part. Like the I.D. of a bushing .2 bigger than a standard. Yes?

You are right about the console, I will undoubtedly find a real photo about an hour after I finish a kludged rack.

Don't know how long I should wait to find real pictures...........
I started on the seats today, having to scrape away the molded in belts.
Got them both clean since the photo. Instrument panel is done, the center console as well.
No guns on these old birds, well before interdiction stuff by these squadrons. Only the 38's in our shoulder holsters.
For killing sea snakes.
I sailor on.

Kludge, when I was in electronics, refered to slapping something together that will work in place of the real thing. Not always a bad thing, back in the day I was known as "Painless, the Kludge-Master"!
(At least I thought it was a good thing...)

Well Vic............... I hit paydirt.
Went on a search, thought I would do One Final push to find a real 3A sonar post.
There it was, on some 60's pilot post, a 1963 vintage operators panel.......
Now I can build version number 3! and have it real. Wahooo.

I'll finish the prickely stuff on the 60H and get going on this one........

Well here's my effort on the sonar station gear. Still have to paint in the screen and the knobs are different colors as well. Took a couple of attempts before I got it this good. Could not have done it without a hole punch as I used the punched out part for the knobs. Just a few add ons for the compartment and I can think about buttoning her up. A months work already.

I sailor on.

*In just looking at the pics, I realized the seats look like R2D2........ I might have to make a change.

Wayne, like most things, it was R2 by accident.
Thanks all you gogs!

So I'm doing cockpit stuff, most of the instruments panels done. The k-nobs on the sonar gear. A couple of itty bitty fire extinguishers in progress. And you would think a kit with a retail price of upwards of 80 bucks would have smaller pin marks on the tail rotor than these! I've filled them, primed and ready to paint stripes on the tips, then overall black. Gonna put some wire bundles around the inside of the pit. Other little thingies.

I may cave and open the crew door........
