Man....been MIA again for a few days...but the modelling continues....decals are all done..and glossed and flat coated now, nearly done!

here are a couple of shots of the addition of the black walk lines and subsequent blending in to the white camo.

Sorry if someone asked this already, but what did you use for the gloss coat?

Jim, I use gunze Sangyo aqueous Hobby Color H30 for my Gloss

Dare I say it???? A bit of silvering??????

most of what you see Andy is the Matt reflection of the edge of the decals and it does look sh!tty...but once a coat of gloss goes over them the 'silvering' effect you see disappears. I will say however that now I have flat coated this beast there are a couple of small areas of silvering that I need to fix....Revell decals are not the best....but i knew that going in and know how to fix them, but some areas are just a pain and you still get some silvering no matter how well you think you got them settled in.
see the last pic where i have glossed and applied the flat coat the areas above the Red lines have silvering along the edge of the decal along the panel line.

That thing is indeed huge and lovely, Wayne. I am glad to see you sticking with this one. Unusual bird and just something to see.

Spur of the moment...gonna enter it in the Model Expo this weekend if i can get the last bits on her friday evening without an issue...nothing like putting the pressure on!!
