Excellent work there Dan.....think you will finish by Friday?

I don't think I will be done by then, maybe an extra week will see it done...would like to put my hand up for an additional week of extension, would you concur to ease the pressure instead of rushing to the finish line!!??

Terry, your comments too!

Thanks for the great words guys...

I wont finish it by the deadline and would love a 2 week extention, and will settle for 1 week to try and get it done....

Though not a judge and if I where I think I would give you the two week extention because I wouldnt want to see you rush since this is a tribute to your grandfather. Hate to see if something went wrong because you rushed. Just my two cents.

Thanks Paul, hopefully I wont have to rush.....

Did some work this mornin getting the rest of the pieces off the sprues and cleaned up, as well as scratch building some more with the gun bay doors.... Also added some wires and cables inside there but u cant really see em in the pics....

Some work left to be done with the actuating arms for the doors, just getting the feel for them....

We have finally gotten to the point where we can discuss the shape of the props and whether or not they are close enough to leave as is.....

Your welcome Dan, though if you want blame me Like I said I will try and get you some close walk around area's of the Corsair. I heard from a friend of mine there could be 3 and up to 6 corsairs this year but not for sure.

Absolutely bl**dy marvellous Dan! Great work, and I'm dead chuffed you got the gun bays, covers etc sorted mate!
Two week extension as of now, so don't rush! I'm waiting for some plastic rod and tube to finish the Avenger anyway, so it'll help me as well as you, Wayne and anyone else who's running behind!
I'll post an update to this effect now.

F*@!@* brilliant mate! Looks like that piece of printing plate came in useful. This Corsair is going to look like the b*ll*cks of a Rotweiler on a Dachshund - definitely outstanding!!

your doing a GREAT job on thatone looking forward to the day its standing on the shelf in all its glory

and take care of that back..hope it dont hurt to much

best wishes from norway

Brilliant, Les. Don't force it. You are on such a roll for your Grandfather, don't make a deadline that is not in his honor. Looking fantastic so far.

You know Dan. When your back hurts and you cant work in the model it would be great to see a write up of all the info you found on your Grandfather or a brief history behind the aircraft. If you hadn't thought about it. That way you can always add to it as your find more info and your kids will have it as a reference if they get interested in the same thing.

Thanks alot fellas, Im not trying to rush this here prject, just attempting to put forth some effort to make it on time.... We now have until the 9th of August, so that should give me the green light....

I am however out of thinner for my enamels and wont be able to get any until Monday afternoon.... I have already got the cockpit, tail wheel bay and main gear bays taped off, ready to spray....
