Had a very bad day at work today followad bt a black Russsian and five Miller highlife's so I have wisely decided to suspend work on the MiG tonighjt.

My wife always tells me "if you drink water along with that booze, you won't have a hangover"!!!!!!!!!!!
I find Stoley the best for a Russian. In Oz a black russian is half as much Kahluwa as Stoley and a can of Coke! Still a killer.

The water is a good idea...............after all beer is mostly water.................

I tried something different for the panel lines using a pencil. I'm not 100% satisfied with it though, the lines look somewhat shinny. I'm hoping that the dullcoat tones this down some. I also painted the prop shafts bare aluminum portion and will assemble it tonight.

Looking very nice Glen
What colour is the underside? In the first pic it looks, blue but the second makes it look grey

Thanks Lewis. That paint is Testor's Model Master Russian Underside Blue. I think the green background made it look gray in the picture. The pictures in post #143 will show you a better representation of the color.

Nice work Glenn and that blue looks ok to me, it could well be the same as I've just sprayed on the Lavochkin, I used a Vallejo Model Air colour similar to RLM 65 which is as close as I could get to VVS AMT7.

RLM 65 is close, but the Russian blue is a little 'blue-er" maybe a little closer to RLM 78, but as you can see they're all pretty close.
I assembled the prop last night and will be putting on the gloss coat from a fresh bottle of Future.
