The mottle looks very good Jan! I know what you mean about wanting to do 'a bit more', but it's a good sign - it means the airbrush, paints and technique are working correctly! I sometimes start looking around, thinking "What can I spray next?!!"

Thanks guys! Before I did the Dora-9 I had to take a deep breath and think "here we go"....d*mn was the puls high....! With these two, first time ever with airbrush and first time ever mottling...sweaty stuff..! Think that I'll leave them as they are now, at least the Dora, get some Johnson Clear and figure out what to do with the 'K-4....

I was the same way when I sprayed onto my Dora as well... I used the mask and paid for it by overdoin it.... I wont use a mask again, as I had to learn the free hand mottleing by default...

Cant ait to see decals on her....

Oh, and some advice, compare it NOW with the profile ur workin, print it out if u need to, but compare the small details on ur camo with what ur aiming for.... I did this twice and found corrections....

Thanks Dan, brother, not better than yours, far from it, I think that you'rs look better...1 has been an excellent inspiration as we both jumped into the deep end of the pool with these two. Now, the only thing that you and I need is some 262's to protect....

Did that while I was spraying....kept checking the E/E's sheet, realized that some mottling was too small for me to do at this moment, so tried my best and find a middle solution, before doing too much...
Removed the mask between the upper and lower surfaces and wasn't too happy about it, look at first, but when gone.....not so good,  and did some freehand to soften the edges... have a final look later before I remove the mask covering the red/white....just in case.

Heck Jan! I hadn't realised it was a first for the airbrush and mottle! B****y good result, especially as a mottle was the first attempt at spraying! Buy yourself a pint... in fact, have two, and I'll have one as well!

Ah! Just thought, Karl (rochie) told me that Klear is now called Johnson's PLEDGE Klear. Thought I'd let you know, in case you can't find it. Although, I bought a new bottle just before Karl, and it was still in the original bottle/label design, and still called Klear, so it'll depend on stocks in particular stores I guess.
