The straps on the ammunition magazines are actually designed as an aid to loading. The right hand pulls back the cocking lever, to clear the weapon, whilst the saddle magazine is held, by the strap, with the left hand, and placed into the breech loading tray. The right hand is used to press down and lock the magazine, then the bolt is released forward, charging the weapon. From removing an empty magazine to making ready should take around 3 to 4 seconds.

Gutt just checking that the items circled are found on the underside of the tail planes?

Put the elevators together then test fitted the other parts and thought hang on which goes with which? mixed up my numbers..:oops:
Kagero plans show both on lower surfaces....just want to be sure!!:D

I'm curious to know why 2 exhausts on on the stack are joined? sometimes like this on Merlines too ( Mossies anyway) and I've never been told why

the small oval accsess panels are on the underside and the trimtab arm is on the upper side :)

Ok added the straps to the rear bulkhead ammo drums, finished the seatbelts on the gunners seat and fitted both seats and floor assemblies together.
