legs..grey ( 02 ) and remeber the three gold areas on upper part ( they are not painted ) gold tamyia is perfect..see picture
( some models shows this with three holes here on the leg..that is wrong..the holes are covered with thinn golden aluminumplates ( dented on these pics )

and also a must is the yellow band with the little decal on it ( white with red outline ) many on the decalset

the lower part ( here stripped so the shiny movable strut is visible ) is covered ( present on kit ) with black or dark brown leather to prevent dust from getting into the shiny oily part and damage it)

and since we are talking about the legs..this is how a Ju 88 wheel and tire SHOULD look like :)

note the white skidmark that goes from the wheel to the tire..this is in all documents by RLM stating to be red.. but the A1was white ( the A5 had red )
its war..one takes what one has..hehe

and to prove it..also a picture of the original white stripe,,just in case some think i might be joking..hehe

Looks a tad dark, but if you tried to go lighter, it could look too light...if you know what I mean!?! Allowing for the angle it'll be seen at behind the windscreen, I reckon it'll be OK. if you decide to go lighter (probably have to make a new screen), I've found that adding a touch of gloss clear to the 'paint' works quite well, and is more controllable than trying to thin the transparent paint.
Yep, the skid, or slip marks were to indicate if there had been any major movement of the tyre on the wheel rim, probably caused by heavy landings or agressive braking, which could cause the tyre carcass to move, but leave the tyre bead itself more or less in the same setting, or even just break the bead seal, causing deflation. The former would lead to stretching and stress of the tire wall and bead, which in turn could cause failure of the tyre, leading to possible major or total damage to the aircraft. These markings are still used today, normally in yellow, and often at more than one point on each wheel/tyre.
 
you beat me to it on the answer regadring the skidmark and yes..100% correct :) hehe
and as said,still in use today even on civilian airliners :)

the glass looks goooooooooooooood, no need to change a thing :) not to dark at all ( actually it should eb a tad darker..not lighter..but then again..that depends on the ligh one sees it in.. :)
so its perfect pal :)
 
Sorry Guttorm lost my opportunity over the weekend, when I went to a local aircraft display...stayed way longer than I should have....getting the Undercarriage finalised for painting and assembly during this week so hopefully more real soon...
