Slow down Harry.

What about the P-40 "chin" I think. it is painted but partially only. Show me please the area of the model please.

Harry nose, nose.....sides of nose and underside of the nose of the P-40 (air intake). The pic of her rear position I have already seen ..

I think I have a simple solution. Display one with the cowling on and the other without and I'll just add a piece of sprue to make it longer?

MG cowling...of which model?

OK. Now I see that. Unfortunately you haven't painted the air intake fully.
Look at the pic below and paint the P-40 chin correctly. You have to paint on the white too. That's way you made these masks for protection these areas you need to keep white.Understand?

Ok. So what I did was I took a part from a Wellington kit and it had some resemblance of the cowling.

Cutting and sanding it looked something like it. Not quite right, but what can you do?

Now I do the paint thing now.

First off, I need to clear my workbench of paints so which brown? Bottom one or top?

Than the mix of both paints and thinner..

Ok. The top brown seems to be correct.

Concerning the cowling.... Harry take a piece of the sprue frame of the P-40 and drop it onto the floor ( carpet). Then go down on knees and having the piece in your sight , look around carefully. Slowly and carefully around .

Here you are..I have found it in Kagero book about the 112 Squadron. I think you have to add a drop or two ones of white to the brown.
