Pacific sunset tonight. I have been wanting to shoot a beach sunset and just haven't done it, until this evening. Laura and I went out for dinner at the harbor in Ventura and I took along the camera and the 18-200mm.

Thanks guys. Ivan, I have 2 Nikons, the D50 and the D80. I used the D80 for this show with the Nikon 18-200mm VR lens. The lens I would highly recommend. The D80 is not a good camera if you are just getting into photography, or just starting out in digital even. I'm in my second year with the D80 and I still have times where the metering on it confounds me. It takes wonderful pictures, but you have to work at it. The D90, which is a generation beyond the D80 is a great camera from everyone I have talked to that got one.

My next upgrade will be the D300, and if things work out, there will be 2 in my bag so I won't have to change lenses in the field and risk more dust.

Nice sunset shot Eric (if it were me I would of underexposed it a bit more but it still looks great). I have taken so many similar shots from my travels over the years, some of my favourite pictures to take.

Dont ever let me near your 'shop'...I'd be bankrupt in no time at all !.

I keep asking at work if I can have an LCD Projector coupled upto my works PC, so's I can look at shots like these in near as d*mn it full size.....but so far they wont let me....rotten s*ds !.

What ever you do, do not, I repeat DO NOT, ever, stop putting up shots like those.

Thanks guys. I have a three day shoot coming up next weekend with T-34s and I have a couple of other surprises coming up in the very near future.

Terry, it's definitely a Tiger Moth. That one has quite a history to it too. From what I can remember, this Tiger Moth was once owned by Cliff Robertson. It was built in 1943 and the current owner sells rides in it. Its a beauty.

Ah! It's the tail wheel that's throwing me, and what can be seen of the fin/rudder, makes it look like a Stampe from that angle. Can't see if there are four ailerons though! Sorry Eric.
