Thanks Dirk and Paul. I'm certainly donating the painting of the combat to the RNZAF Museum when it's done. If they want it, they can have the model too, but I don't know if it would survive the journey without at least some damage - unless I personally escort it of course!
Thanks very much again Paul, the info you sent me all those months ago turned out very, very useful. The systems manual in particular answered a lot of questions regarding detail, some which could never be found elsewhere. Talking of which, I spent bl**dy ages making, painting and fitting the ammo belts to the guns, and leading them into the scratch-built ammo bins either side of the rear compartment. But, unknown to me until they were fitted, due to the angle of the guns, nothing down there can be seen!!
A lesson for those wishing to spend lots of hard earned dosh on photo-etch detail for hidden areas - but at least mine were home made and cost me only a couple of pain-killer tablets!!

Your more then welcome Terrry, glad I could help. So whats the newest project on the list if I might ask. Not much new here. Im kinda at a loss on what I want to research next myself. To much info and no direct recourse on what I want to do.

Could have sworn I answered Paul's last post! Must have had too much 'T-Stoff' last night!
Thanks VB and Karl.
Paul, not sure what's next, as I have a few things on the go, with the Lanc for the GB and maybe a 1/48th scale RAF Mitchell too, plus I'm making a start on the rather large JG 26 FW190 diorama (2 aircraft plus lots of bits and pieces) and there's other stuff, such as the Hunter, to finish yet.

The JG 26 sounds very interesting my friend though I would love to see one as a Bf-109 and the other a Focke Wulf. Love to help with info on this one if you need any. I can break down a Bf-109 and well maybe have the material to break down the Fw-190 also not to mention if you need any research matieral.

Thanks very much indeed guys. Paul, I might be in touch over this. I'm doing Radener's 'Brown 2', the one he bailed out from on July 15th '44, after 'Brown 4' was trashed in a landing accident by another pilot.(told you the 'War Diaries' you sent me would be put to good use!) I might need info on 'Brown 5' though ( especially confirmation of the Wk Nr as shown in the Kagero book.), as that'll be the second aircraft in the trees.I will be doing a Bf109F diorama at some time too, this time JG2, france, 1941, and probably 'Assi' Hahn's aircraft, outside the camoufalged hangar.
Nightfighter, thanks very much. I actually do use my models for just that, as I'm an aviation artists - well, of sorts!
