Thank you very much for the compliments, Maximowitz and Aaron.

The camera I used this time is "Olympus Camedia C-740 10x zoom 3.2 megapix".
This is a very old model and I bought it for only JP-Yen300 (about US$3.00) as a used camera a few months ago. Price was incredibly cheap, almost free, because it has a dent under the lens protection tube but no problem about the function at all.

I have enjoyed shooting photos with it at the Osaka Castle very much.

Off topic or not, it's an interesting picture. That's the thing about kids, they see an object and have to climb up it!

Famous entertainer from Tokyo? Would he be a radio dj by any chance?

Hello, Paul.

His name is Hikari Ota(to be pronounced 'Ohta' - a family name).
He is a TV comedian but his talk is always very political and may get to the point.
See here. He has ever been introduced in The New York Times.

From the larger view of the stone base of the castle, you don't realize the size of the blocks until the closeups of the kids climbing on them shows thier scale...awesome!

In fact, a 1 ton bomb dropped from a B-29 could anyhow dent the stone wall.

The image is regretly from other site.

I think this is the east side.

You're from Osaka region. I haven't realized the Osaka castle is so magnificent and beautiful as shown on your great pics. The Palace buildings are not like that. How was this year's cherry brossom (sakura no hana) down there? We have these in Yokohama lasting longer than normal years, probably due to the lower temperature in previous two weeks. I think the rain forecasted today will finish them off.

Thanks for your post

Yes, I was lucky to enjoy the brilliant cherry blossoms this year too.
The sky was clear and it was a good chance for me to take photos on last sunday.
I am also unexpectedly happy to have my novice photos enjoyed by many memebers here.

Concerning the palace, what I care recently is the future of the emperor's family.
I find no good news about them. They don't look happy.
If they are not happy, such system might not be necessary anymore...
They look wishing to live as ordinary people.

I haven't been to Yokohama and Tokyo for a long time.
I once enjoyed your photos which introduced some historic spots in Yokosuka.
It was fantastic and, if possible, I want to see more in the future.
