P-40 Twin

The original picture looks like someone has borrowed a couple of engines from a bomber and put them on top the wings of a P40. Whenever I see a twin engine fighter such as the Beaufighter with its engines beyond the tip of it's nose it reminds me of a tiger cub with its head resting between its oversized paws. Nice job.

I decided to get to work on this one again. Not really too many decals. Upper and lower wing star bars left over from a Three Guys decal sheet and the "Wright" arrowheads on the fuselage which I made up myself and are seen here after the gloss sealer went on. The yellow will be faint on the clear decal film so I'll double or triple them up.

Very nicely done Glenn - you'd never think that was a 'cut and shut' job with parts from the spares box. Great conversion and scratch-building work.

Thanks guys, getting closer and closer. I put on the "Wright" arrow heads on doubling them up but it didn't come out as well as I had hoped, the yellow being much too dim, but I guess I can live with it. Dull coat was sprayed on and some minor weathering will be next.
