Yeah Catch recently on the news an indian family in NZ had the whole neighboorhood on their backs after displaying a Swastika like symbol on their roof

There used to be a laundry company in Dublin called Swastika Laundry.

Rochie, what scale is your Dora? I have a couple of 1/48 swastikas left over from my Fujimi 109 if you want them

Just built this at the weekend, but the decals wouldn't sit, any ideas how to sort them out?

Is the Raiden, the old Tamiya kit? as their older decals are a bit of a b!tch to get them to settle correctly. Whatever the stuff is they made them from it is not good. Some decal softener may work? but I learned to use alternatives real quick.

Working on a J2M6 Raiden myself! Hasegawa decals are much better....

Yeah Tamiya kit, worst decals I've ever used. I tried softener on them but no joy. I might just leave it, it looks OK on the shelf!

Muller, get a small sharp pin and prick the decals where they are not sitting correctly and apply a tiny bit of decal softener at these points this should help settle them a bit better and get rid of the 'air' or silvering affect.
Do it on the lower surfaces first to see how it reacts, so if you have a problem it won't be obvious....The tamiya decals I don't think will react like other decals and wrinkle in the first stage of helping stick down the decal.
As you apply the softener you will see it flow under the decal, carefully dab the excess away with a tissue and repeat, carefully! This should fix it...

... And once they are settled, put a coat of varnish on your model (but don't forget to mask the clear parts !) It will prevent them from falling off in two years from now.

I use Testors spray lacquer #1260 for that. Never had any problem since.

yea, I'm also gonna need those swastikas. any scale. trying to draw them on aircraft is a pain in my arse.

nice job on the raiden and thanks anyway muller but unfortunatly my dora is 1/72.

yes wayne it is all a learning process but as for being a chef i just have natural talent........( just kidding ), but i've found luftwaffe paint schemes are more difficult than RAF ones and require more thought about how and when you begin each stage
