Hi mates,
I said I built another PzKW IV G besides this one. Won't bore you with the whole story. Here is the finished tank. My dachshound inspired me much in doing this little scene.
Somewhere in nothern Italy.

I agree, excellent portrayal Michael. Don't know if these will help with details - taken during visits to Duxford.
EDIT:- Just noticed, after posting, that your model is a StuG IV, and the Duxford example is a StuG III !!!
But maybe the appearance of the Zimmerit etc might help ..............
