Beauty! I find it odd that they gave old #215 the heave ho so fast. I would have thought it would be stripped first. Was deck space that confined that they couldn't tuck it into a corner, carry out operations, salvage parts and then deep 6 it?

Interesting question Geo but really don't know of an answer. Guessing part of that would depend on how close to the end of the war when it happened.
