Thanks for looking in folks. Today I'm going to take you on a trip round the island of Manhattan viewing all of those iconic sights on what was a beautiful sunny and nice warm day.

Thanks again Guy's. After new York we headed by Amtrak up to Boston, this time having missed it last time round, I was determined to join the Boston Tea Party.
It surprised me to find that they have an original tea chest in the museum that was washed ashore and found by this young boy who took it home. Keeping the chest, it was handed down through the generations before forming part of the museums exhibits. A 240 year old tea chest.
After that, well…………..it was time for a beer or two while washing down a plate full of prawns.
A couple of art works that captured my attention, the first, the rope was along the Boston boardwalk and the second artwork was spotted in Copley Square.

Alas, I only drove through the outskirts of Boston on my way to my then home, Saint John NB. We'd hoped to get down there but my work assignment expired before we could get there.

Thought it about time to get this show on the road again for this year, otherwise I could be off on my travels again before getting them all shown.
Following Boston we set off on our travels north east to Bar Harbor.
First stop Portland where it was nice and warm and this chap was taking full advantage of the autumn sun. Truth be known it was the flowers I was taking a picture of, didn't realise the guy was there until I downloaded the pics a couple months later.
We were on the road to Bar Harbor and again, being autumn it was pumpkin time and pumpkins fascinate me.
Arriving in Bar Harbor late afternoon the evening meal was high on the agenda. You can't go to Bar Harbor without having a lobster.
The lush green of this part of the world and that cruise ship was one of three that was stalking us all the way up the coast.

Very nice Vic. "Bah Hahbah" is a beautiful place and I had a great visit there about 8 years ago.
