Please compare it with the gate of Shitennoji temple in my neighborhood.
Yes, that is a pair of Deva kings.

I believe they will be standing there in the future as the Japanese 'Shinto' could have been overwhelmed by Buddhism in the 7th century.

Taking this opportunity, please let me introduce my camera I used in Nara.

Most of you may not believe but, to save costs, it is a combination of Sony α-330 body and old Minolta lens.

Not only I like Sony's image quality but the secondhanded Minolta lenses are available for the very cheap price today since they discontinued production.
