Thanks Keith and Wojtek !
All the decals are now on, and the dark serial numbers have been touched in with red paint. They're a bit rough, as it was virtually impossible to gain access with the spotting brush, due to the decals being under the tailplanes, but, being in the shadows, and dusted over with dirt and 'sand', they look acceptable enough.
The main part of the weathering, paint fading and scuffing, and the addition of 'dirt' has been carried out, to give a worn, dusty look, with paint stripping, particularly on the black paint, which was prone to flaking and chipping from the wind- blown sand.
It looks a little harsh at the moment, and the lighting for the pics has emphasised some areas and masked others, but when it has all hardened, further work will be done to tidy things up and tone down those areas which need it. When the matt clear coat is applied, the next step, it should look how I want it - I hope!
The pics show the model as it looks so far, and the next stage, after the matt clear coat, is to add the landing gear, and proceed with the scratch-built entrance hatches etc.
Thanks again for your interest, and I'll have some more pics soon.
