Just a little update though not much to show for a couple days graft. Am at the paint stage with the cockpit after many hours of PE work.
The cockpit floor and sides with areas masked off against the paint.
The camera and a swag of ammunition boxes, the machine is riddled with them.

Very nice Vic and a shame about the masks. Curious about the film over the photo-etch. I wonder if it's there to eliminate the ping factor. Cut the part, it stays with the film and you remove the film later.

I've been chipping away at the cockpit area these last couple days, lots to do but was to late in the day to take pics, so I'll get to it tomorrow morning. For now though here are a couple of sundowner pics taken 4 minutes apart from my hanger (hobby room) window.

The window has its advantages for some good light to these weary old eyes but it also provides distractions when I often don't want them, the result usually being a part ping into cyber space of the carpet gremlin.
Anyway, onto the build. Lots done and at long last this huge cockpit area is sealed as best it can be at this stage.
This last shot shows a couple of the window bits tested in position and you can see we have quite an expanse of clear and open area.

John, these are for the rear gunner who pokes his head out the rear cone and yes, it is a peculiar position and I'm unsure of how the gunner would position himself in order to get maximum movement.
Mike, this is the lens of the reconnaissance camera which you would not see on this model had I not decided to drill a window on the under wing.

Thanks Wojtek, Andy, much appreciated.
Not much today, just replacing external panels with PE panels. Some of the detail is over emphasised, such as huge hinges and over deep panel line, so I figured the best thing to do was scrape them back and replace them.
