ok so i did a runner from work early today, got home to find the house empty so with no distractions i dived into the mottle !!!!!!!
hope you all like it i'm pretty chuffed how it turned out
just got to repaint the tail struts RLM65 now, wish i'd left them off before painting !!!

thanks Andy.
i used a washing up sponge ! the ones with the green scouring pad on the top and yellow sponge underneath, painted a bit of paint on one end then dabbed the excess off on my workbench then dabbed it on the model.
where i put too much paint down i just went over with the clean part of the sponge and it lifted a bit of paint off as long as it was still wet !
