despite everyones best efforts i got the RLM70 on :D
you can just about see the splinter cammo !

Neat work mate, and just as 70/71 should be - blending into an apparent single colour.; one of the reasons the 70 was changed to 02, for a better disruptive effect.
 
Nice job, paint looks clean.
 
Not sure about Wick's kite without checking, but some aircraft still had the 70/71 on the wings, whilst the spine and tail planes were re-painted with 02, and others still retained the 70/71 on all upper surfaces, but with the high RLM65, and then mottle where applicable. In B&W pics the 'give away' is normally the 'old' splinter pattern on the main planes.
The other '109 I hope to get started, from JG54, has the 'old' colours on the wings, but the 'new' colours elsewhere, as an example of one particular aircraft.
