Coming along nicely there mate. The areas under the slats were RLM 02. The flaps, when extended, don't actually show much, if any, of the internal edges, which would be RLM 02 on the wing recess, but the curve of the flap 'hinge' line itself would be camouflage colour, with the face which 'sist' in the recess RLM 02. But I doubt if the latter will be seen in this scale, or even 1/24th scale.
 
Real nice Karl! Looks like you'll make up the lost time pretty quick. Does your 109 have the sink marks on the top of the wings just ahead of the ailerons? I didn't see them in the picture, but it seems like everyone else making a Tamiya 109 has found them and had to deal with them in one way or other.

thanks guys though in hindsight i think it might have been better to leave the tail struts off until i'd painted first.

Chris i've studied your Wick thread, its a great help so thanks a lot, but where did you get that pic of my missus !!!!!!!!! :shock: :lol:
