It seems like 'Yellow 9' is the same pattern as the 'Yellow13' I did on my Gustav. I can't find the B&W pic Wayne sent me, but the scheme was the same. The fuselage cross is the later black with solid white outline, with no black border to the white outline, and the under-wing crosses were the same pattern. The upper wing crosses were the white outline only, open, no black.

Yellow 9 uses the White Border only on the upper wings and fuselage and they are filled with the RLM74 'Dark Grey'

Lower wing not visible but likely to be White cross filled cwith black and no black outline to the white border.

Now from what I can see of the port wing it doesn't seem to match ANY of the schemes posted.....some further study is required when I get home tonight.....

I can see the cross on the lower port side wing.... The upper wings, camo and crosses, are what I lack a view of...

Yes, I have a port side 8 o'clock view of Yellow 9.

Here ya go...! The camo on the port wing matches better to the profile below than the previous one I posted...

Nice work Wayne! I can now see the 'grey' crosses. Dan, if you need any, I've got some 1/48th scale white-outlined grey crosses that match this scheme. Give me a shout if you want them mate, and they'll be on a big silver bird before you can say 'have a pint!'.

Very interesting shot of Gelb 9 Wayne, lots of exhaust staining along the port wing root.. Gotta agree with the wing camo as well... The tail wheel looks really really short, kinda interesting...

Just sprayed first coat white primer over it yesterday and I have some more sanding to do around the machine guns... Lots goin on and limited time....

OK, update.... Been tryin to get the blue band color down, and here's my final product for comments/corrections before sprayin the Gustav....

I think its pretty close, and it'll be sprayed over the white primer instaed of right onto the plastic, so it will be slightly lighter....

Compare the sprayed blue to the blue on the profile....

Is it close enough???? Any idea how to make it better/closer??

Mmm? I can only see the profile.....will have to check from home later....

Ah, now it has come up after a second try, system is playing up here at work....

The Blue looks ok on my screen it is darker than the profile but I think the profile is just a tad too light anyway.
