I agree Wayne... I needed to get the gear on so I can stop handling it so much... Tomorrow is decal day and a new load of pics.....

Got the bottom crosses on and sitting tight overnight... I almost seriously fu*ked up by putting the wrong crosses on, using the white bordered crosses when I should have used the plain black.... I caught the mistake minutes before I woulda been screwed...

Thank God for second guessing urself...

Well, u seen the pics... The pencil and the paintbrushing with graphite for weathering isnt doing much at all.... I tried to dirty up the cannon shell ejectors and it hardly did anything....

Maybe have to apply alittle heavier and for longer??

The pics in post #215 are glossed and all looks ok there...maybe the graphite is reacting to the gloss...?

Don't quite understand why it's not working...working ON the Gloss coat is certainly more difficult....this touch up work will probably need to be done after the matt coat to get better results...maybe Black Pastel will be the go...?

Be careful how you experiment...

I suspect that the silver/graphite is not going to play ball on the gloss at this stage, don't sweat it remember things will work better on the matt coat surface...Iv'e not used the graphite shading only black pastel for this effect.
This may be a better way to go as you dont want a metallic shading on your finish.

OK, I see ur point.... I dont have any pastels, but do have colored pencils... Can I use the same theory and try to use that???

As for the Matte coat, I do that after I have the decal down with a slight gloss to seal em??? So, decals down, gloss over them, hit it with the matte coat, followed by some panel line work/weathering, then another matte coat to finish it all up???
