thanks fellas again for your wonderfull replies on my Lanc, completeing one sub assembly the fuselage starting out with the bomb bay and her bombs, i want to get them out of the way to save time. I have 6 more bombs to install and the bomb bay assembly is done, The bombs are nothing but rolled tubeing with but strips and the tail sections are rolled cones along with fins. to form the bombs there are petals on the front to give its contour and sgape like a bullet nose. once I complete the bombs, next will be the gun turrets and canopy and other sundries to complete the fuselage sub assembly by next week I will start on the wings. Here is the update for the night I will post a couiple more tomorrow.

thanks fellas for your replies she is starting to look like a Lancaster in all her might. The Lanc had one heck of a bomb bay a lot more then our B-17 The B-17 could carry 10,000 Lbs bomb load the Lanc could carry more as quoted no wonder thye Lanc could carry the Grand slam earth quake bomb, A wonderfull airplane it is she is my favorite of all British aircraft I love the Elephant too the Sterling Bomber.

Okay as the build is still going strong I am startinbg on the turret and canopy assemblies Starting with the nose turret there are 22 parts top its assembly. Care must be taken when cutting out the frame work of the turrets an canopies. I will install the glazeings after all of the work is done on the turrets I will use packing tape for this method. After assembling the nose turret unit I rolled up the two 30 cal guns into paper tubeing and the rest was aseembled and installed useing a airbrush I airbrushed on flat black paint into the inside of the nose turret unit this way the paper wont sag if satuated with ink or paint evenj a magic marker pencil but before I added the paint I applied Acc gluein the inside to stiffen up thye paper. The end results is a strong non flexable turret unit. Next post will be the cockpit canopy section and proceed aft.
