Thanks guys for your kind words. It's most encouraging when you see someone is interested in your work.

First try in painting:

The upper colors are too light I think.

Will redo the RLM 75 and RLM 74 in darker shades. I Don't use ready mixed paints. Each plane should have its on color, just as is was the case during the war years.

Looks superb Michael. Not sure if the upper colours are too light - after a couple of coats oc clear they will be darker. Maybe do a test on one area, say an elevator for example, to see how much darker it goes?

Hi Airframes,
I gave up clearcoats before decaling because of this colorchanges. Instead I use a household brand of cement which is cold washable. Thinned to a waterlike consistency I cement my decals on (wet in wet). When dry you can whipe off any residues.

I think this colorshade is better.

Time for the decals.
The letters were done with Corel Draw and an inkjetprinter. I use Future, but I don't use it any more as clear coat before decaling. Insted I use a clear houshold paperglue which is cold washeable because you can clean the stains on childrens clothes the easy way.
To set the decals i use clear concentrated vinegar. This is cheap and easely obtaineable. When all is dry you can wipe off any leavings with a wet sponge. A semygloss coat at last, that's all.

This pic reminds me to remove the spiral on the spinner.

Now with the correct spinner and first exhaust stains. (The daimler did a secret test run?)

I try to keep weathering on airplanes as low as possible. They aren't museum queens standing in the open for decades.
