They celebrated 100 years of Naval Aviation and had a few PBY type aircraft along with a totally hand-made 1911 Curtiss Flyer that actually flew!!

One of the main features of this airfield is the musuem. My father and I volunteered here in the early 2000s and helped get some of the models that were donated ready for display. As you can see, this musuem is packed! Its a fantastic place and I think the best way to see things. The USA&SM in DC is nice but can you get this close to a PW 2800 like this? The models are displayed in great cases and this is where several vets sign autographs and you can talk with them. Great place!!

So its getting near the end, we start to pack up and I look across the tarmac to see.......a P-51! Don't know where it came from but wish I knew before.

Anyway, a great show that I've missed the past 2 years>

Looks like it was a great time Chris. We have the Air Water show here in Chicago, but nothing close up like that. It's been Quite a while since I've been to that type of air show.
