Hi,
Time for applying first decals.

The letters were done on the PC and printed on clear decalfoil. The Inkjet I used did not produce a deep black, don't know why. But maybe the faint look is correct for a much used Testbed.

I think to tone down the crosses a bit. Are too bright.

Time to do the tires, Antannas etc.

Great job Michael. I think the duller black on the lettering turned out perfectly. I find many kit-supplied decals to be too stark and that the toned down look is better.

Hi,
thanks for your nice comments.
Time to finish the project:

Hope I haven't overdone the exhaust stains.

There were some fatique cracks in the right wing because of the mishap with the undercarriage legs. Some drops of superglue and putty fixed this. A little sanding, some paint and game over. Hope this beast will withstand the stress of the coming exhibition season.

I don't like washings on aircraftmodels. Always looks as if bog and brading is living in the joints. Maybe this is correct for museum queens resting in the open for years. I only apply some pastes very sparse.

This is the end.
Maybe I will get some good pics of the ship during the summer season.

Well what to do now?
What about this one?
