Good choice. I like watching builds of those 1/72 Airfix kits because I'd like to get a handful of them myself.

Nice choice David!

I built that kit a few years back, pretty much OOB, with the exception of scratching new undercarriage legs and doors - looks the part, you should have fun!

Hi David

This build along with Peter's (Peebs) will be somewhat
special to me as my father worked for CAC in Melbourne,
and it was always cool to see such history when CAC
had it's family open days

Thanks for sharing

Alan

Just hope I can do the homegrown fighter justice. Thanks for all the encouragement. Will post update soon.

Q. Whats brown and sticky?
A. A stick.

Now I am stealing my kids jokes. :laughing4:

Scratched up some of those wheel cover thingys. Bit rough but not bad for first attempt at such extreme modelling.

Bloody fiddly trying to line things up to minimise the joys of filling and sanding. Bit of sheet styrene for instrument panel. Styrene across fueselage to help seat position. Once the glass goes on you wont see 7/8ths of stuff all. Plan to leave interior black. The pilot will add some interest. Fingers crossed.
