The judging and tallying of the votes for Group Build #8 Commonwealth/Night fighter has been completed... at last.

We have 2 categories for this Build, Intermediate and Experienced... No Category 1 - Beginner’s level in this GB. There is also a Member's Choice Poll that let's you pick your favorite..

There were 10 Participants with 10 Models completed in the Intermediate and 3 Participants with 3 Models completed in the Expert category... Once again, a great job to all participants.... Here are the Winners:

    INTERMEDIATE CATEGORY.

The 1st Place in the Intermediate Category is Ozhawk 40 with his 1/48 Hawker Typhoon Mk.1B 245 Sqn "Sharky".

The 2nd Place in the Intermediate Category goes to T Bolt with his 1/48 Curtiss P-40M Wairarapa Wildcat FO Geoffrey Fisken and to Wildcat with the 1/48 Spitfire MK.III F/L E "Ted" Sly 457 sqn RAAF

The 3rd Place in the Intermediate Category goes to Imalko with his 1/72 P-40N "Cleopatra III" of Lt.Col. G.C.Atherton, RAAF and to N4521U with his 1/48 Typhoon Mk.1B RCAF 143 16 Wing Comm 1944.

    EXPERT CATEGORY.

The 1st Place in the Expert Category is CrimeaRiver with his 1/48 Heinkel He-219 WNr 290123 of 1/NJG 1

The 2nd Place in the Expert Category is CrimeaRiver with his 1/48 Spitfire Mk.IX AE-B Ian Keltie 402 SQDN RCAF.

The 3rd Place in the Expert Category is Vic Balshaw with his 1/48 Consolidated PBY-5 Catalina.

This Build has been really the tightest and closest competition we've had so far .... Realy more quality work.... The Judge team has had a real trouble with an assessment of your models and skills that have greatly increased since the previous GB project ....

Once again, CONGRATULATIONS to Peter and Andy ... a smashing work guys...... :D

Well done to all. As Wojtek stated, this was a very difficult GB to judge, with more than one session of consultation before the results were decided.
