Well, new compressor came in, got the chance to get some work done now, motivation is back in swing....

Got the gloss coat done, finished up the 37mm cannon, started work on the canopy and started sprayin my little bits...

Also did some quick testing of the 3 washes I have...

Now for the last question...

What is this area supposed to look like??? The directions have a decal that goes on the inside of the clear cover for the antenna, which is bogus to start with... Also says the inside area is to be RLM 66...

Any detail pics showing what this area looks like fellas??? Gotta be more detail than just some black lines on the inside of the cover and RLM66 inside...

Very nice work there Dan, and it looks llike that compressor could power a decompression chamber!
Your'e right, there should be a lot more detail around that DF antenna, especially the 'solid' parts on the fuselage. The antenna itself was 'coil wound', IIRC, and it might be that Guttorm can help out here, as the JU88 had a similar fitting. From what I remember, the 'lines' on the transparent cover were calibration and datum marks, but I can't find the pics I had showing all the details - D*mn!!
Maybe a PM to Mr.G might get some answers?

Looking nice Dan and I like your technique with the small bits spraying. How do you hold them in place while spraying, unless I Blu Tack mine down, they get blown all over the place. According to my limited references, the area behind the gunner is the 'Piel G IV D/F (Direction Finder)' as for colouring, I figures as its radio equip it would be black and the markings on the Perspex glass access panel would be aerial wires.

:hotsun: :hotsun:

Ok, after seeig these pics, there ain't no way I'm gonna try a 1/32 Bf 109 for the BoB Build as I will NEVER be better than your stuff Dan. Chr!st! Its looking good!!!

Dan's right! When I entered the P-40, did you think I actually thought I was gonna win

Well of course construction went well... it was the painting.
