Now to be more Hysterically accurate I have done a job in Corel on the nose art from Peter's scan.

I had a Homer Simpson moment and will have to change the star and bar, the original is downside up, and why I did a modern version? Doh.

And we can only assume the color of the bill of the bird. I am going to assume myself that the area around the eyes would be white.

A month and a haff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HS.... I'm really gonna have to step up my game now.

So I've done a bit today, the art for decals went off today, and the life raft has been sorta made.
I used the old Crayola foam. A lump of the stuff, used a piece of aluminium tube to role it out, trimmed it, rolled it up and used the sharp edge of a knife to make the indent. When it's dry and set I'll paint the bugger yellow and wrap a piece of string around it in the grooves.

Finishing off the seams. Then stick the windscreen on, mask it and the canopy. Then some overall painting.

Gotta start working on me own stuff! Goin out to get me oares and then sailor on......

So, it'll never se the light of day, then. Unfortunately

Well....not unless they sell it to another museum or "trade"

I could see that more than likely happening, but the way aircraft museums are now a days, I'd be willing to bet that it'd be more likely to see the Space Shuttle replace the aircraft in a hybrid aircraft/Space museum concept. Lack of funding is a real downer on the aviation museum :( and we havn't had anything really cool or public interest since a long while back now :( to capture younger viewers attention and get them packing the museums.
