Paint looks great Bill, and thanks for the help with the decals.
That's my fire stick in the air in the turret hole!
You must be trying for this look.

I hope these will be okay. I had to get close with the colors. They are 12mm long.

I hope the finioshed decals are okay for you Glenn.

So now it's on it's wheels. I still have to put the gear doors on, the support for the top glass over the coclpit, the rope around the raft and a little touch up. Not to mention the decals. The stripe around the tail is a decal coming with the nose art. So it looks like I've scared myself for nuttin!

The bl00dy deckles are touch and go again.
Gear doors to attach, then may do the first coat of polish today.
IPMS meeting this arvo.

Maybe the bulk of the decals tomorrow................ and then wait to see what happens with the printer!

Nicely done Bill, it's looking the biz.
And good stuff with the decals help. Is it expensive having decals custom-made? I might look around for a local printer who can do the work, as there are limitations to making one's own. Unless I have a windfall and can afford an ALPS printer!

My art was given to him at 600dpi......! 60 bucks for an A4 size sheet chuck full.......

My bise art for the Havoc, some tiny ones for Glenn, lots for Charles, and for the museum; the Bf-108, Canberra, F-111, Caribou, Catalina, and Hunter.

So for 9 planes it's not all that bad. And.... they are images not available anywhere else. I'm not sure what his minimum print size is, but I had a bunch to do. There was still room for a few little ones.

May be the thing if you want multiples.

If you need help I would be more than happy to do some Corel work.
These are all done in a graphics program then exported as a 600dpi tif file, not jpegs from photos.
This is my layout a little modified to post at 72 dpi.
I doubled up on all just in case they are difficult to handle. Perhaps it's a bit of overkill, but I'll know for next time.

Damn, Bill. That bird looks great! I used to love 72nd until my eyes got old. Hell, 48th is starting to get small now! And, that decal print up idea has me intrigued now as well. 60ish is not too bad for what you have there. There are a few planes I would love to find decals for myself. So, maybe I will look around at printers here in Austin. Any particular questions I need to ask?
